Repairing Your Xbox 360

Friday, August 6th, 2010

It is a very frustrating when your Xbox gets the red ring of death. As you may already know there is very little you can do to fix it unless you knew how to.

Do not fall for the myths of fixing it with ease like wrapping it in a towel. How the heck would that work? If anything that would make it overheat even more.

Like I said there is not a whole lot you can do accept get it fixed. The red lights flashing means that the hard drive failed and cannot process your games or DVDs.

Once this happens your best bet is either getting an xbox repair guide or sending it into tech support. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

But before you do anything check to see your warranty expired. If it has been over three years since you bought your xbox 360 then you will have to pay a fee of about $140 to get it fixed through tech support.

Buying a repair guide that shows you how to repair is a cheaper way. But the downside is that you need to fix it yourself. It is not as hard as it sounds. Even if you are not tech savvy.

As long as you can follow directions with ease then fixing your Xbox 360 should be no problem. Not only that but you can be playing within an hour. It is as simple as watching someone fix an xbox and then doing exactly as you see in the videos.
